Languages, localization, and accessibility
The demo and full game both ship with nine built-in UI languages, including two Chinese scripts. All localization is human-translated.
Supported languages
English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese. Both Chinese variants are separate localizations by Kwalee.
Switching language on Steam
Right-click the game โ Properties โ General โ Language. Wait for the language pack to download. Takes effect on next launch.
No in-game language menu
The game has no in-game language selector. Language is determined by the platform store. Voice follows the listener, not the host.
Xbox and Game Pass
Xbox Guide โ Settings โ System โ Region and language. Cloud streaming uses your Xbox profile language. A full console restart is often required after changing.
Demo versus full game
Steam Demo (app 4050060) and the full version share the same nine languages. The older itch.io demo is English only.
Community translation requests
The most requested language is Korean, followed by Indonesian and Polish. Neither has appeared on the Bun Muen roadmap yet.
Windows font fixes
Win10 1909 and earlier need the East Asian Language pack installed. Noto Sans CJK is recommended; Steam Deck ships with Noto by default.
Accessibility settings
Built-in blood-gore filter reduces visual intensity. Subtitles are on by default. Screen reader and subtitle scaling are not yet available.
Translation credit
Kwalee used native-speaking translators for all nine languages. This wiki is also human-translated across all languages โ no machine translation.
