The bundle links the two games on Steam as a single purchase option:

• Shift At Midnight — co-op detective horror at a rural petrol station. 1–3 players, Story Mode (13 shifts), Endless Mode (beta), proximity voice chat, pets, forecourt work, and the September 1 content drop (30 new customers, Chainsaw, Security Cameras, Patience Metre).
• Dead by Daylight — Behaviour Interactive's long-running 4-vs-1 asymmetric horror. Four Survivors try to escape while one Killer hunts them down across iconic licensed and original maps.
• The 43% bundle discount stacks on top of any individual current sale prices — no expiry was announced at launch.

Both games lean on co-op horror mechanics, jump-scare pacing, and role asymmetry — but they diverge sharply in structure:

• Shift At Midnight is a closed-session detective loop: small crew, procedural shifts, investigation before survival. No player-vs-player kill mechanic; the horror comes from identifying doppelgangers before they escalate.
• Dead by Daylight is an open asymmetric chase: four Survivors vs one Killer across multi-minute rounds, with unlockable perks, prestige systems, and a decade of DLC content.
• The pairing appeals to players who want the short-burst investigative horror of Shift At Midnight and the longer marathon chase sessions of Dead by Daylight — both share horror DNA without being mechanically similar.

The bundle makes sense in three scenarios:

• New to both — if you own neither game, the bundle saves 43% versus buying separately. Both are independently worth the price at their current discounted rates.

As of the August 28, 2026 announcement, Steam listed the bundle at a 43% discount versus the combined individual prices. The discount stacks on top of any current individual sale prices for each title. No end date was announced at launch.
